AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (AIS)

AIS technology helps avoid collisions in crowed harbours and congested waterways by transmitting vessel identification, position, course, and speed to other AIS-equipped vessels and base stations. This helps reduce the difficulty of identifying ships even when not in sight and understanding their navigational intentions.

The GME AIS T120 Transceiver is housed in a compact weatherproof container with an internal GPS patch antenna. It has provision for connection to an external GPS antenna for Installations where a clear view of the sky is difficult to achieve. Also provided are dual NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000® interfaces for true plug and play convenience. A ‘Silent Mode’ option also allows outgoing transmissions to be turned off.

Engineered to the exacting European IEC62287 standard, The AIST120 incorporates the latest RMax™ AIS Technology thus ensuring exceptionally efficient and robust real time AIS message processing.

GME’s AIST120 is also supplied with the Pro-AIS software package, a user friendly PC programme to enable data entry and customisation of your system.

Joining the GME AIS family is the AIS S120, an active antenna splitter that permits a standard marine VHF antenna to serve both the AIS device and the VHF radio without any degradation of signal.

Using advanced signal processing the AISS120 is the perfect solution for AIS installations on vessels where additional antenna mounting space is not available. Clear Call Routing provides a key safety feature, ensuring VHF radio transmissions are given priority over AIS transmissions.

ACR Nauticast B AIS

Designed for non-SOLAS vessels, the Nauticast B AIS is an all-in-one unit that is extra small in size, but extra large in function.

The kit includes both VHF and GPS antennas and ACR's Link2AIS™ software.

The Link2AIS™ software may be installed on an onboard PC, or third party software that is AIS- capable may be used.

The Nauticast™ B can also be interfaced to chart plotters, Multi Functional Displays (MFDs) to display targets.

The transponder has an external Safety Related Message (SRM) feature, with user configurable messages. The transponder can be mounted below deck for added convenience.
